Weddings.
Celebrations.
Satisfaction.
Joy.
Beauty.
Color.
Happiness.
Love.
Laughter.
Forever.

Somehow along the road my neurons inter-synapsed so that I clumped sub-consciously all these feelings, these emotions into one. Feeling one inevitably lead to the other and that all of them were interwoven.
But now, time has forced me to wonder, am I believing in “make believe”?
Are all these words I mentioned above just written off together by chance or is the link between them true? A fact or a farce?
I have been chewing on this question for quite some time now, but the answers mostly confused me more.
I asked around then, from friends and family, and mostly the scenario was the same. They would come to me light hearted, and walk off musing over the question themselves.
This week though, I had what I believe people call an “epiphany” ( or at least what I believe an epiphany would be like).
A cycle of events occurred and I finally realized my question has no answer. Or maybe, because there are many versions to this particular fact, there are too many ways to answer this query. And every story has a different version.
For those who find their true love and stick with them till the end, their wedding would always remind them of their present joy, their present warmth, clouding any fear or anxiety they had felt that day. Making the problems stand out as loveable memories and the hindrances sound like good tea-time stories.
For those who have weaved every dream around it, it will forever stand to be the most important event to them.
And for those unlucky ones whose wedding day was perfect, but whose hearts weren’t for each other, the huge event would rest in their memories clouded by the pain, the dissatisfaction and the disappointment of the following days.
There would even be those who wouldn’t care to revisit that past, just because their present is too beautiful to be soiled by such memories.

No matter what category of people you had end to be in, your feelings for weddings would stem from your personal experiences, your own dreams and wishes, insecurities and dreads and, above all, from how they affected your life.

So maybe for now, I had let my brain clump all these beautiful feelings together so that I feel a warm rush whenever I attend a pretty wedding and watch the bride make that walk down the aisle. I will let my heart beat accelerate at the thought off the upcoming dances and the after parties, and relish the thought of being vain and spending without rationality on my wardrobe.
I will prepare myself for the pampering. And enjoy it all till it lasts.

And I will thank god for one little fact-weddings have never been the highlight of my life, and yet been bright spots in it.

Cheers, to any bride who is reading this. Kudos to any bride-to-be who has time to read this. May you and your grooms get to have your love outlive you two.

Transparency at its best.

Well, the designers have made that little piece of fiction come out to mean exactly what we would expect it to be decoded to as.
And, what do I mean by that, you ask?

The style guru on trend too.

Only this, that when the designers made the transparent glass sunglasses the latest thing in fashion they brought the phrase ‘through the looking glass’ to life, making the nerds proud and fashionable at the same time.

So, ladies and my stylish gentlemen, this summer embrace the classic and take to heart what it means. Incorporate these stylish, two way, transparent glasses as a must have in your list of “things to buy this week no matter what” because they are already gracing the eyes of anyone who is anyone and fast becoming the staple of every summer look.
The reason to that is as clear as the glasses themselves, they make you look fresh, breezy and clean-all three essentials for every summer look.
My advice? Go out, buy those glasses and only then return to finish this article.

Get it White

When I was checking my email and my messages yesterday, I saw one question query that almost all of my friends had. Here is the crux of what they all asked:

What is going to be the major color this summer?

Well, to be honest, none.
No wait, hear me out.
What I mean is that this summer, every brand, every stylist and even every blogger is gravitating to only one hue-which is white (and if you remember some basic physics, white is an amalgamation of the colors, not a separate color itself). 😉
The designers are using it in their dresses, the stylists in their shoots, the architects in their interiors and even the bloggers in their OOTDs.The little black dress is now the little white dress, the go-to prom dress is now in white, all the tutorials are on how to incorporate white in your wardrobe or in your date outfit-and so on and so forth.
In fact, you can call white the color of this year.

That being said, I hope you realize how important it is to get white your life quickly as well. Worry not, because I am also today sharing with you my five top favorite (and the most easiest) ways for wearing white this summer.

Keep it simple

1. Keep it simple-The fool proof way is to take a simple tunic-dress, or an airy silk long top, and pair it with bold, rose-gold jewelry and gold and white pumps. Add a bright head band for a girls night or a smooth chignon for a formal dinner.

Make it edgy

2. Edge it up-Playing it safe is easy, but for the adventurous ones out there it can be oh-so-boring. Do not worry though, for white can be more challenging and so much more fun to work with then any other color. Try a sheer dress or a long side-slit dress for a formal outing. Or go for a sleek cut white jacket with short shorts and spiked heels. Add large hoop-earrings, a statement necklace and some riotous curls for a day-to-night look.

3. Color it in-All white looks chic and elegant and so sexy. But then, so does a dash of scarlet. Don’t hold back on the colors completely, or you will tire out soon from the blandness. Spice your white up with bright floral shorts or printed pull overs. Or go a little crazy and wear a shear dress with bright under-garments. 😉

4.Be girly-I love white best for how it can be both girly and fun at the same time. Just try wearing a flow-y white maxi dress with patent leather, bubble gum pink pumps, delicate accessories and a braided crown, and you will know what I mean.

5. Play fifty shades-Calling white, “just white” is like calling all coffees just “coffee” (oh my god, the atrocity!!). White can be pearl white or off white or cream white or yellow tinted or rose tinted or-well you get where I am going. Match or contrast these shades and mix the palette up with some pastels (like pastel bangles or hair accessories) and you will be surprised by the lovely results.

Add a pop of color.

Let’s keep it short!

Honestly, there are times when people need to just stop. Take a break. And then a deep breath. Calm themselves, and then start again.
If some conversations had been cut shorter, if some fights had ended earlier, if some love stories hadn’t touched the extreme edges-there would be a lot less regret in the world.
Same goes for summer dresses.
Keep them short, fun and breezy, avoid layering it all too thick and letting the hemlines go too long. (But don’t get them so short that they look sleazy!)
